Assoc. Of Military Spouse Entrepreneurs Announces Military Spouse Employment Partnership with the Defense Department


WASHINGTON, D.C. – On Dec. 9, 2020, the Assoc. of Military Spouse Entrepreneurs (AMSE) will join the Department of Defense’s Military SpouseEmployment Partnership (MSEP) for a virtual ceremony. AMSE is one of 85 new partners joining MSEP, bringing the total number of employers to 500. MSEP connects military spouses with hundreds of partner employers who commit to recruit, hire, promote and retain military spouses. Since its inception in 2011, MSEP employers have

hired more than 175,000 military spouses." AMSE proudly joins this partnership, which will strengthen our organization's dedication to supporting military spouse entrepreneurs globally," said CEO Moni Jefferson. "It is an honor to join hundreds of organizations whose mission is to impact the ecosystem of military spouses and their families. I know first hand how military spouses are skilled, diverse, problem solvers."

The Association of Military Spouse Entrepreneurs is building economic impact for our nation's military families by providing them with the tools, network, and resources to start, scale, and sustain their businesses while supporting their military members who serve our country. AMSE provides a digital dashboard with masterclasses, virtual co-working space, group coaching, and peer-to-peer mentorship to build a PCS-proof business.

The MSEP initiative is part of DOD’s broader Spouse Education and Career Opportunities program. The department established the SECO program to provide education and career guidance to military spouses worldwide, offering free, comprehensive resources and tools related to career exploration, education, training and licensing, employment readiness and career connections. This program also offers free career coaching services six days a week.
